The distinctive hexagonal body is beautifully decorated with colourful pink roses and delicate foliage against a white porcelain ground. An ornate cobalt blue and gold border surrounds the upper section, complemented by intricate gilded detailing, a sweeping gold handle and a finely decorated lid with a gilt finial.

The underside bears the blue Noritake maker’s mark, consistent with the early 20th-century period.
